Lovely old world pub. Various menus for lunch and evening meal sometimes has a set cheaper lunchtime menu which is a reasonable price. Outside seating in summer.

One of my favourite pubs. Been going there for many years. Always friendly and helpful staff. But you have to book if you want to eat there especially on a weekend. as always pretty busy. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely surroundings and friendly staff. But we waited a decent amount of time for food only for everything to come out except the toddlers meal. I chased it and the waitress said she was just going back for it. Nothing appeared. We chased at the bar only to be told it hadn't been put through at all. It eventually came out scorching hot some 15 mins after everyone elses so I spent my whole meal sharing out food and trying to cool stuff down. Another meal was ruined by a very tough steak. We fed this back at the end I think got a free kids dessert...?! But we're basically blamed by not going to the bar again to moan during the meal. It's a shame because the other meals were very nice and they have a good gluten free range. But won't be rushing back.
Great, dog friendly pub in a peaceful setting. Ample parking and outdoor seating area. The food is delicious, whilst the staff are always polite and attentive. Adapting the menu to suit my mother's dietary needs was no trouble at all.
